Texas elected officials are "disingenuous or naive" to believe that Mexican drug violence is spilling across the border into the United States, Mexican Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan said Friday.
In a wide-ranging interview at the Mexican Embassy in Washington, Saruhkan attributed the recent escalation of violence in Ciudad Juarez to desperate attempts by narcotics kingpins to protect their shrinking turf, praised the Obama administration's attempts to clamp down on the smuggling of U.S. weapons to the Mexic

Before customer Danielle Walker even entered the Haymont Exxon just before 8 a.m. on a recent Wednesday, one of her purchases was already waiting for her on the counter - a pack of Winston cigarettes.
"We have our regular customers who come through almost every day," cashier Diana Waldrup said.
That's the kind of local knowledge Waldrup has gained from working the morning shift at the Exxon since 1998.

With all due respect to your and everyone's opinion, I have never implied that Exxon will have activity in Hungary this year or the next.
I've merely pointed out that Exxon didn't leave Hungary, although the slide mentions 2009 acquisition, but we all know that Exxon has acquired the Hungarian acreage in 2008 and not 2009.
There is just one more thing I would like to mention, the lack of announcement from Exxon stating that they have terminated the agreement with MOL.

Meanwhile, Ghana's Energy Minister Jospeh Oteng-Adjei told a news conference that Jubilee has recoverable reserves of 800 million barrels.
The Wall Street Journal reported today that the government had blocked the deal, something it has been threatening to do since October, and would only allow the state oil company to buy the stake.
A source told Reuters the government had written to ExxonMobil about the deal but had not gone beyond repeating the threat.

ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Turkey BV plans to explore off Turkey next year with Deepwater Champion, a Transocean Ltd. drillship.
The Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea, is building the ship, expected to drill in the Turkish Black Sea during the first half 2011.
The Deepwater Champion is a sixth-generation drillship capable of drilling to 12,190 m in up to 3,660 m of water.
